Leyna Nguyen

Leyna Nguyen (she/her) is currently in her second semester as a Project Management Coordinator with Paragon. She previously served as a Spring 2025 Fellow, collaborating with the City of Albuquerque, NM on their safe and ethical AI policy. Leyna is a junior at the University of Michigan, studying Robotics at the College of Engineering with a minor in Public Policy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.

Leyna was raised in Chicago, where she experienced firsthand inequitable access to STEM education and resources. These experiences, combined with her passion for people-first engineering, motivated her to pursue technology that improves accessibility and to advocate for legislation that mitigates technological risks. Her research and professional experience span tech policy, sustainability consulting, and assistive robotics.

In her free time, she enjoys running her small business on Instagram and eating towards her goal of trying every restaurant in Ann Arbor.
