Jacqueline Malaret
Policy Coordinator
Jacqueline Malaret (she/her) serves as a Policy Coordinator of the Paragon Policy Fellowship. Jacqueline is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Global Affairs, concentrating in cybersecurity and technology policy at Florida International University. She holds an undergraduate degree in international relations from George Washington University.
As a Paragon Fellow and Project Lead for Spring 2025, Jacqueline led an evaluation of the transfer of AI-enabled defense articles, in partnership with the US Department of State's Office of Regional Security and Arms Transfers. Previously, Jacqueline served as an Assistant Director of the Democracy + Tech Initiative, within the Atlantic Council's Technology Program. Jacqueline's experience spans technology governance, democratic rights advocacy, and global policy coordination.
Jacqueline is also a member of Foreign Policy for America's NextGen initiative, where she serves on both the cybersecurity and technology, and diplomacy working groups. In her free time, she volunteers as a recipe tester with America's Test Kitchen — so you can often find her making a mess in the kitchen, exploring the beaches of South Florida, or curled up on the couch with a good book and the best cat.
